My love of collies started with Lassie. Like all children we wanted a dog but my father didn’t really want one. But then one wintry day on Long Island a collie landed on our doorstep in a snow storm. No one claimed him so we kept him. Brandy was a beautiful sable male . He left an imprint on our family.
It was many years before I could have a dog of my own. In 2000 I obtained a show quality male collie from West River. At the time, I knew that I wanted to show him but wasn’t sure that I wanted to be a breeder. After attending shows and his winning some shows I decided that I would like to breed collies. In 2006 I obtained another male collie, Harry (Marnus Promontory Gold). Harry resembles his father Marnus Make My Day (Clint). In July 2007, Harry was joined by his brother Marnus Keuka Gold of WhiteMoor (Taylor). In 2008, they were joined by Sabrina (Marnus Lady Sabrina of Whitemoor). In 2012 another bitch joined our family from Millknock, Gabby (Millknock Whitemoor’s Wanderlust).
Gabby has had 2 litters. Her first litter produced 4 champions including Winners Bitch at the CCA. Her prodigy have excelled in herding, agility, rally and obedience.
Our collies live in Prince William, VA on 5 acres. They are home raised. Our dogs participate in conformation, herding and agility. They are also certified therapy dogs with Therapy Dogs International (TDI). Collies are a versatile breed and can participate in many activities.
I am a member of the Collie Club of America, Collie Health Foundation and the Mason-Dixon Collie Club.
